Press statement

You may have read in the news about an enforcement company, Marston Holdings, that has overcharged enforcement fees on certain road traffic penalty civil enforcement cases that were being handled concurrently, which is in breach of the Taking Control of Goods (Fees) Regulations 2014.

We can confirm that this breach does not relate in any way to Excel Civil Enforcement or any of the companies within High Court Enforcement Group.

As a Group, we are committed to ethical and effective enforcement, fully in line with the Taking Control of Goods Regulations. Our NQA accredited and robust processes and systems are set up to ensure that we comply with the Regulations, including the correct application of enforcement fees. We also undertake extensive training to certificate our enforcement agents. In order to further reassure all our clients, and their customers, we have also completed an audit of our cases, which has confirmed that our businesses are all compliant.

It is our understanding that those who have been impacted by this breach have already been contacted regarding a refund (plus interest) by Marston Holdings.
